“Quotes In Action” – Words to Live by in 2022

Quotes in Action Logo.

Have you ever noticed that there are certain times of the year when you feel more motivated to take action? Days, months, or seasons when you feel energized to tackle new projects and try new things? The arrival of a new year can certainly be one of these times, and for good reason. The days begin to lengthen, the extra commitments of the holidays are behind us, and we feel ready to start afresh.

Each year, during the month of January, I run a themed challenge to help you clear the clutter, get organized, and become more productive. In the past I have featured a month’s worth of tasks, goals, images, and videos to guide you on a path to achieving tangible results. If you’ve missed these and want to give them a try, here are links to a few of previous challenges:

This year my theme is “Quotes in Action.” Beginning on January 1, 2022, each day I will be sharing a quote and a few thoughts about how to put the words into action in your life. I invite you to follow along and give it a try. As always, don’t feel like you have to do them all. Instead, pick and choose whatever appeals to you.

I wish you a wonderful 2022. May it be full of the freedom that comes through organization!

  1. Sounds intriguing. How many organizational quotes can there be? Or, will you be taking standards such as “Let go and let God,” and using them to inspire better organization? Either way, I look forward to your next post. Happy New Year!

    1. Thanks so much, Sabrina! I hope you enjoy the variety of quotes. They aren’t all directly about organizing, but hopefully they can all inspire positive action!

  2. I love that you celebrate Get Organized Month with a special series. This one sounds wonderful. As a quote collector, I can’t wait to see which ones you feature and how you relate them to specific actions.

  3. I love a good 30-day challenge. It’s self-limiting, so I’m much more likely to stick with it, and there’s such a sense of identification. “This is me; I’m participating in this challenge. It’s part of who I am!” I think I’ll have to go back to your Digital Declutter challenge to see what I’ve missed.

And I LOVE good quotes; they resonate all through the day, like “Once begun is half-done” and “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” (Einstein, who said the latter, was full of good quotes.) But I’ll be honest, my favorite quote isn’t actually action-oriented, but it gives me delight. “Madam, I have been looking for a person who disliked gravy all my life; let us swear eternal friendship.” (English clergyman Sidney Smith) 😉

    1. Those are a couple of great ones, Julie! I love quotes too, and thought this might just be a fun way to start off the new year. We can all use a bit of inspiration and direction, right?
