Do you have any great tips for storing your tops?
Some of my tops I store in my drawers, but those that could easily wrinkle or heavier material (like sweater coats), I use wooden hangers in my closet for, as well.

Sweater coats… good one. Coats are always best on a sturdy hanger!
ANYTHING is better than using wire hangers. My tops slip off the metal and land on the closet floor. I use the wood hangers or the ones that have fabric across the top and loops to hold up shirts with thin straps.
I’m not a fan of the metal ones either. My husband uses them for shirts, but I’d rather have a different kind. Unless I’m in a pinch, and then I use whatever is free:)
haha I totally hang things by color, even though everything is red. Red by red by red! (slight exaggeration)
We love those velvety hangers but I don’t have many of them. Wah!

I love that you have so much red! You are a person of passion, and you look terrific in red:) The velvety hangers are getting more affordable and now come in bulk at Costco and big box stores. Nice, but not necessary.
learned a lot about different kinds of hangers-interesting idea of “Filing” t-shirts, will have to try it.

Doesn’t everyone organize their clothes by color? And in Roy G. Biv color order, of course! 🙂 It’s so interesting to hear tips and ideas about storing different types of tops. I prefer to hang my sweaters and have been for years. I use the same trick that you demonstrated and it works perfectly. I prefer to hang them because it’s easier to see them all at one glance and easier to access them.
If you live in a cold weather climate and have a lot of sweaters, they can be tough. I had someone also ask me about storing a sweater dress… same issue with the shoulders getting stretched out of shape. Nice to know a few tricks like this to keep your options open!
