Love the “sharpie” light bulb tracking trick! Bet the light bulbs ready to be recycled and the batteries to be recycled (from yesterday’s video) can go in the same location…near one another so that the trip to the recycling center can be combined. That’s a great tip, Linda. Keep the items that will be recycled at the same location together. This also makes it easier for family members to remember where to take old objects!
Love your advice here and I do have extra plastic containers such as you showcased to store. So I am thinking I am going to try to utilize them now to store our lightbulbs, too. Thanks for that suggestion.
Love the idea to mark how many are remaining in the box. I keep sticky note on top of my batteries box to track how many of each battery is remaining. I hadn’t thought of tracking my light bulbs. Getting on that today.
Learned this one by experience, as it is hard to tell how many lightbulbs are inside when you are looking at a big sleeve of cardboard! I do the same with my Brita pitcher refill cartridges:)
We’re currently interested in this because we’re redoing the lighting everywhere upstairs! Cassidy is all about the expensive smart home lightbulbs that you can control by voice or with your phone. We keep them in their original packaging! I do that with my photography lightbulbs too.
Oh, photography lightbulbs… good point. I haven’t run into those very often. My husband loves everything “smart” as well. He ordered special outlets that can be operated by an app for all of our holiday window candles. I have to admit they are pretty cool!

Those containers are surprisingly useful! I hope it works out for you:)
